BMW’s ReachNow car-sharing program has announced today a market expansion in Brooklyn, new weekday pricing for Brooklyn members and new counterless rental pricing for the full fleet. As ReachNow approaches six months in the Brooklyn market, the car-sharing service will sharpen the experience for members locally.

ReachNow will now serve 20 percent more homes, including Bay Ridge, Ditmas Park, Midwood and Flatbush. “This was an easy decision,” ReachNow spokesperson said in a statement. “We saw cars pressing up against the edges of the home area and knew we could do more to help our members get the last mile home. ReachNow now covers 26 square miles of Brooklyn.”

Along with the residential expansion, ReachNow also introduces new weekday pricing, like the 3 hours package for $25.

“We learned a lot about the demands on our fleet in the first six months in Brooklyn,” the statement reads. “Broad access to and reliance on public transit mean our fleet is heavily used on weekends. Today, we’re introducing a built-for-Brooklyn weekday rate. Every Monday – Thursday, drive up to 3 hours for only $25. That’s a 50% discount on the normal price. We expect this to make ReachNow an option for mid-week business needs or errands.”

Last update for ReachNow revolves around counterless rental rates. The car-sharing company will offer BMWs and MINIs as low as $70/day – with insurance, gas and tolls included – without the hassle of going to the rental counter. Those counterless rental rates are also offered in Seattle and Portland.
